Sleipnir-10000mt

The largest offshore crane in the world

For Heerema Marine Constructors SSCV (Semi-Submersible Crane Vessel) Sleipnir — the world’s largest crane vessel — Huisman designed and manufactured two powerful cranes. The two revolving cranes can lift up to 20,000 tonnes in tandem. The crane boom has a length of 145 meters and with the boom up, the crane can reach a height of 210 meters above the waterline.

Sleipnir is capable of lifting large and commissioned modules. Therefore, the installation process takes less offshore time and this makes it less costly. Lifting larger modules means less time involved and therefore a smaller budget will suffice for a job.
